"Easy. I’m 20 minutes away from my job. The most I’ve come across is 35 minutes. Not too bad. Grocery store is 10 minutes away & everything is near by."
  • Erica Williams
"Good. Easy access to different things. Good difference in people. Little to no crime. Great neighbors. Parking is bad. "
  • Edward Hernandez
"Recently seeing a high volume of homeless people outside our neighborhood have moved in. Theft has increased. Since the beginning of 2024. "
  • Rudolph Leslie
"It’s close to schools food markets. It’s not bad as it used to be growing up in this area early 2000s. When it rains the streets are not flooded like some areas so that’s a plus."
  • Charmainneminer1
"I see people walking their dog and don’t pick up their poop, it’s not safe to leave packages because it’s stolen from people who roam the area "
  • Alex O.
"Stay away if you have children. We have hoes, thugs, drugs dealers, pimps etc. We have shootings, stabbing and police chases often, helicopter and police cars almost every week. Homeless, squatters burning homes etc.. "
  • Cbarrios1926
"Heavy traffic at all times, I highly recommend to mark pedestrian crossings very well since pedestrians cross anywhere they want."
  • Sofia Deleon
"When its 4th of July since all neighbors get together or Christmas day as it gets somewhat colorful around the neighborhood"
  • Amolina23
"Don’t have kids here, it is not a safe place but there is a lot of culture #Respect you gotta hustle to be here fr "
  • Trulia User
"I am very close to the expo line down town to Santa Monica and everything in between very easy and convenient to get to with a short walk "
  • Hv24c2h8yj
"Everyone want keeps to themselves. It's pretty quit. The downside is there aren't too many healthy food options and areas to work out."
  • elianna arvizu
"I lived in this neighborhood for over a year. The weekends are loud you can hear music being played from houses down the street. Not walkable at all. Huge dogs everywhere and doesn’t feel the safest. Pretty dirty and unmaintained. Closest grocery store is a food for less which is dirty and not where I would want to buy my groceries."
  • Trulia User
"There are lots of people who have dogs. Most are friendly. The neighborhood is changing so some do pick up their dog’s pop. "
  • Trulia User
"Dog owners are cool walking their dog in the neighborhood. No issues! Everyone cleans up after their dogs 🐕 and their dog is friendly. "
  • Trulia User
"Closer to markets…schools…wash house.A great place to live …also libraries to walk to………………………. You can meet your neighbors "
  • Trulia User
"this area is a melting pot of many different long- standing Los Angeles lineages of all different types. there is a strong certain respect for people who have lived here all their lives and stand against letting the neighborhood be bought out i (gentrified) in any way. I admire it :) Also, there are some beautiful, beautiful front yard gardens ❤️"
  • Trulia User
"Some neighbors let their dogs roam the neighborhood. Many neighbors keep their dogs outside all day and night as they bark constantly because they don’t take them on walks. "
  • Trulia User
"of you go to school here or need to be here cool but for raising children not the location. I have 2 boys and this is not the place I would be having them go out side or run around. also there is almost never any parking here. I could buy a new car with all that I owe in parking tickets"
  • Trulia User
"that the neighborhood is safe and clean. meeting friendly people as well. living in a clean place would be awesome for everyone "
  • Trulia User
"I've lived here for 3 years now and some of the neighbors are friendly and we all look out for one another. There's a laundry mat right across the street from where I live so it's really convenient when laundry needs to be done a plus about that is I don't have to cross a busy intersection it's right on the corner of a residential neighborhood. "
  • Trulia User
"Safe and friendly neighborhood, I walk my dog in the evenings and early mornings, kids play outside, and families party from time to time. Happy South LA living!"
  • Trulia User
"Nothing. this is a fine neighborhood to live in as long as you parent your kids properly. There is not too much activity at night. you hear sirens or a helicopter every once in a while but not lately. "
  • Trulia User
"Like most of L. A. , we are over - crowded by families who exceed maximum occupancy; averaging about 30 per household. One bedroom apts hold 3 generations. Everyone gets a loud birthday party and all parties are outside. Good luck finding a parking space on the same block. "
  • Trulia User
"everyone keeps to themselves If you don’t look for trouble, trouble won’t look for you. Easy living Majority of everyone are families or working young adults."
  • Trulia User
"None at all. It’s pretty bad out here and a lot of tragedies. Not the best place to live in at all. "
  • Trulia User
"None. This neighborhood can’t have nice things at all. It isn’t a neighborhood to have events in the first place "
  • Trulia User

  • Trulia User
"Always be aware of your surroundings. Main streets can be hectic and congested. Side streets are quiet with friendly neighbors. Close to various markets and shopping centers "
  • Trulia User
"Fairs and parks are plentiful, small block parks everywhere. We have 3 in a 8 block radius There is a homeless problem; that’s all over the country Theft is very low people respect each other’s property in that way. Not the prettiest are the newest but is fairly safe I catch the bus to work and it is actually the best bus line in the city of Los Angeles comes every five minutes it goes from Gardena to Hollywood every five minutes "
  • Trulia User

  • Anastasia P. J.
"There aren’t any that I am aware of. No sense of community here. It has a long way to go. The old houses are beautiful. Parking is a nightmare. Proximity to metro is great. "
  • Jessicat323
"I don't know of any. I rarely go out in my neighborhood. There's to many people loitering outside of liquor stores, which essentially cause gang violence or shootings."
