2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have 2 children that went to this school since 2019. They have always had wonderful teachers there who are supportive of their learning, but we found a lot of these teachers were leaving and there was a lot of turnover in the earlier years. This past year 24-25 there was a new principal that started at this school and she has been amazing compared to the previous principal. She engages with the community, parents, and students and I think she will really revive this school. The school is a title 1 school with all of the challenges that this brings, so I'm sad to see that some areas they don't have as much funding for like a full time music teacher. I really hope that this doesn't get worse in the future given the real potential to eliminate the DoE and the funding that this brings to the school.The biggest criticism I have is that it took a while to get my 2nd child on a specialized learning plan as she has some struggles with encoding/decoding and this doesn't show up in her overall test scores because she is gifted in other areas. So it took a while to get this taken care of, because you have to dig deeper at her reading scores and evaluations to get to that. 9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis used to be a good school. Today, this school and the Cherry Creek School District has become a nightmarish version of the school it used to be. Covid was not nice to this school and, unfortunately, the school has never recovered. Children were left behind during the COVID years. All classes went remote and most teachers left on their own to “figure it out” without any proper tools for the seismic change. Many children had no access to computers or technology knowledge and were ignored. Heck most classrooms didn’t even both to take roll call to figure out who wasn’t there and which students might need help.The school district has become outspokenly woke. Your child will be taught at a young age to identify their pronouns and to include them in communications with peers and leadership. Differìng social norms are embraced and rewarded, while those who have no special upbringing will find they are not given the same opportunities or respect.Compare this school and neighboring schools. You will find that your tax dollars are used on political projects and special interest groups. Mental health is talked about at great length, but severely underfunded and is now just a mission statement for the school. This is a school for atheletes- if you child is not one, your family will need a tremendous amount of luck to get the funding for activities they are interested in.All-in-all, this used to be a good school and community, but both have simply become an extension of East Aurora. "Beautiful to visit, a better place to raise a family!! Only have the love of my life & future husband to visit (& some new & old friends,) but the outdoors is breathtaking & therapeutic & mentally, physically, & emotionally healthy for ALL. And the Community is so family-oriented and positive!! Full of like-minded, welcoming people!!!! Best place to be!"

"I live here and it is a great area for a starting family. In the cherry creek school district and very close to a lot of good restaurants as well as parks. Very nice people and a very nice area! "

"I've lived in this area for 11 years and I have enjoyed just about every minute of it. It's close to many good grocery stores and shopping. Schools are good and the kids have excelled."
