This lack of personalized care can make the school feel physically or emotionally unsafe, as the adults in the building may prioritize compliance over connection. When a school also creates a culture of silence—where students are discouraged or outright prevented from expressing their feelings in any way, or feel like there not getting understood-not getting the right responds needed. Teachers different with other kids from their past, or who they are. Students aren't getting the right to talk and when able to they feel like their in the wrong.
