7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis educational learning ground is a horrible mess for my children and their learning environment. The supervisors are a terrible example of a biased adult that only cares about the female demographic of the student body. The way teachers and administrator are handling situations was unacceptable. For example a kid broke the toilet and they didn’t get in trouble which was rather odd, because the matter was very serious and every kid should be responsible for their actions and should now that their actions have consequences. Even though we are older kids the authorities on campus were treating the youngsters with more bias or respect. No kid shall be more preferred than others and can lead to a toxic relationship with the older kids and the supposedly responsible/respectful adults on campus. The experience my children had when they came home and told me about their day. They said a kid was smoking one of those e-cigarettes and brought a box knife to school, and was threatening people. They also told me that when the kid brought the e-cigarette the kid wasn't in trouble but I can’t prove that this happened this is just all word of mouth that they told me. By their expression and physical appearance it seemed to be true but I can’t say for sure. My children were also emotionally harmed from all the bullying that went unreported in this supposedly anti-bullying student body. The school counselor wasn’t a emotional support person that it should. My children and my children’s peers have told stories of the counselor spreading misinformation about them and lying about their conditions or making stuff up. For some odd reason the school administrator can’t take a serious topic with good handling and had a kid who made a TikTok page about hating students which was a serious problem. The only thing is that when the principal handled it and it’s seems to be a very serious problem for students is that the principal just lectures them and lets them go. Especially for the female demographic. I heard stories of girls literally getting injured by school fights and the group of girls that attacked her were only banned from student recess for only 2 weeks like I mean cmon. Well that’s my children’s experience and my experiences that we had with this establishment.Parent Review1y ago4 Reviews - Emerson Middle School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI highly enjoy this school. Its very big like a high school but only less than 1000 students go there. The staff is very friendly and the food is normal. I will recommend before going here to learn Spanish because there are some Spanish speakersStudent Review1mo ago3 Reviews - Pomona High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI dislike this school very much I don't understand the teachers and how they work. They never try to grade work on time. This school is also very small. I don't like how they don't offer many options for a choice of classes. The teachers are very lazy even from honors classes and they allow anyone to ditch because I don't see them take matters into there hands.Parent Review3y ago5 Reviews - Check out schools near 1737 Appleton Way.

"It’s nice to have events close by at the Fairplex, and there are a lot of great public/community resources available throughout Pomona— specifically public health. Our neighborhood, specifically, does not do any organized events, and I generally spend my time outside of Pomona (grocery shopping/errands in La Verne, San Dimas, or Glendora, and work in Orange County) because many parts of Pomona are NOT safe at all and I don’t feel comfortable taking my family anywhere in town."

"I don’t think Pomona is safe. I don’t feel Comfortable taking a walk. There are homeless encampments in many locations. I regularly call to report graffiti. The roads aren’t great; lots of potholes. Doesn’t seem to be important for city entities to take care of. Pomona isn’t well-maintained. "
