Test scores are up. We have moved from a D to a C and possibly a B this year. Student achievement is at very high level. The administration and teachers have been doing an outstanding job to turn things around.

My oldest went to school here 1st-half of 5th and only had one great teacher Mrs. Chavez she always went above and beyond for my son. While the others picked fights, or they would ignore him when he had questions about his work. Oh, and he once had a stomachache and they denied him access to the restroom and his teacher finally let him go until he started crying. I took this to the principle, and they said they would have a meeting with that teacher, but no one got back with me. My youngest went there from kindergarten to half of 1st. He had a speech disability and always had so much homework and would tell me he doesn't understand what to do. I would email his teacher, but she took a while (3-4 days) before getting back to me and at that point the work began pilling. His 1st grade teacher was nice but was not really helping him learn anything. If he wasn't doing the work right, she still gave him the credit. I pulled both of my kids out and took them to Mesa Verde and my oldest loves his teacher and my youngest is now thriving. He has 3 different teachers helping him with what he's supposed to know, and he has gotten a lot better at reading, writing and loves being at school. Overall, these were my challenges with that school and after moving and finally being able to transfer my kids it has been the best decision for us all.
