Just walk to the center and down the walk way to the stairs to the ocean for fun. This is a gated community for privacy and security. All of nature surrounds you on 50 acres of beauty. On-Site: Gated Community, 50 Acres, Two Heated Pools, Five Tennis Courts, Playground, Jacuzzi, basketball court. Local: Golfing, Surfing, Shopping, Restaurants, Amusement Parks, Tennis, Del Mar Race Track. Permissions: Pets-OK ~ Smoking-NO ~ Children-OK. Winter rates (except holidays), $1200 per week. Summer rates, $2000 per week. Utilities, $75 per week. Move out cleaning: $150. Gate Pass: $40. Admin, $25. 10% Encinitas City TOT tax on rent(applies only to rentals less than 30 days).     "The neighborhood is a mix of retired people and new families. It’s not as communal as other cities I’ve lived in with many people driving in and out of the community and then staying inside or in their backyard. The gates parks prohibit kids meeting there unless they belong to an association. It’s odd to see a gated park that children cannot play on , meet new kids that live across the street, etc. I’m used to larger cities where there are more public places to gather, meet your neighbors, and create a stronger community."

Package theft does happen and people don’t clean up after their pets well. The rent is also really high around here. "
