Having two children go to Bel Air Elementary I can say it is one of the best schools I've seen. The teachers and staff are excellent and to be commended. Actually, they have been commended as a national Blue Ribbon School. The principal is enthusiastic and knows each child by name. The school's Parent Teacher Organization is really great and there are always volunteers working on the bulletin boards or helping teachers prepare materials. My oldest daughter was constantly discussing her reading with the school librarian and her teachers. Overall I have no complaints about the school and consider it a real gem.

I have 3 children at Fort Hill. My son played football and my daughters are in the band. They are all 3 involved in other activities as well; tennis, drama, choir, wrestling, mock trial, science bowl, environmental bowl, etc.. You get out what you pit in. But over half the football team has a 3.8 or higher GPA. The coach pushes players to make academics a priority. Football players also have a special needs football buddy. And a few years ago one of the special needs students was the homecoming queen. Chosen by her classmates. These kids are learning more then x and o's and so much more then what can be taught in a book. My son was able to take 2 years of ap physics and ap em and ap bio. Plus ap calc. My daughter has 4 ap classes her junior year and next year will be duel enrollment

My son has been here since 6th grade and it was a great choice we had to attend braddock for a month and Washington is 10 times better. Some kids mess with others but my son sticks up for himself and he is fine. Overall he has had a great middle school year and learned alot, his reading level jumped up by 100% in one grade, so the teachers are doing a great job and i am happy.
