About this House

Finally, a full two-bedroom (plus 1 baths) apartment available in the desirable Lamont Co-op!

This spacious two-bedroom apartment, with an eat-in kitchen and windows throughout, has seven closets. The kitchen, with dishwasher, leads into the large north-facing living room. The main bedroom, which is large enough to hold a California King-sized bed and more, has a bath ensuite which can easily be made into a full bath (using one closet). The second bedroom is large enough for a full-sized bed or can be used as an office or den. The hardwood floors are in good shape throughout the apartment. Each room has an in-the-wall sleeve for air conditioner units.

The Lamont is a full-service Doorman building. This well-run coop has recently renovated its lobby and hallways and upgraded its two elevators and laundry facilities. A community room is available for all tenants. There is a short wait for separate storage (to rent) and while there is a garage, there is a long list to purchase or rent. The building is wired for FIOS and accepts pets on case-by case basis.
Parents buying for children is not allowed. Maintenance includes heat, hot water and gas. 80% financing and Board approval required. There is a small flip tax paid by the seller. Sublets are allowed after two years residency.

Situated between Kings Highway and Ocean Avenue, the building is two blocks from the Kings Highway subway stop where the Express B train and local Q train will take you to Midtown in 35 minutes. Want to go to the beach? Its a short drive to the Rockaways and Jacob Riis Park and only 20 minutes to the beautiful Marine Park Salt Marsh Center. Other parks and playgrounds can be found close by. This neighborhood is teaming with shops, restaurants and cafs.

First Open House Sunday, April 30th.

"Sheepshead Bay is a great place to raise a family, depending on what area you are in… It can change from beautiful and well maintained, and then four blocks later it can look like a completely different neighborhood… I would not allow my children out to late at night as there are some bars around the neighborhood and the restaurants people do come from other places to eat there, but the crowd can change quickly. Otherwise most of sheepshead Bay is a great neighborhood. I would visit at night before I actually moved in to that particular home on that particular block."
