The house is ideally situated for maximum enjoyment of the island and all it offers. The walk to the pier is a mile along the beach and if you want to venture further it is another 2 peaceful miles to the famous Kindred Spirit Mailbox on Bird Island. The walk to the ice cream shop & gift stores on the island is made more enjoyable by the recent addition of sidewalks! The Town of Sunset Beach works diligently to keep their beach an attractive place to live. This well loved home has had many upgrades and improvements. 8 feet was added to the street side bedrooms in 2012 so that each easily sleeps four people. Also, at that time the house was made handicapped accessible with addition of elevators & wider doors on the street side bedrooms and baths. Wide hallways lead to the living areas. The siding was replaced with hardy plank in 2012. The roof is only a couple of years old. All appliances have been replaced several times.     "There’s only one child (lives with grandparents) whom I regularly see in my neighborhood so I wouldn’t exactly consider it “child friendly”; though all of the neighbors are extremely protective of him when he’s outside playing. At 59 I’m the “token” youngster in my neighborhood so perhaps other more youth oriented areas would be viewed differently..."

    "There is no public transportation. You need to drive everywhere! Walking to grocery stores, restaurants, post office, etc. is not an option for most. There are very few sidewalks. Most people who live here have at least one car, if not two. Some have golf carts that are street legal. Bicycling and mopeds are another option, but for daytime transportation use only. "

    "Wyndfall Community HOA is a nightmare, they physically measure your grass with a tape measure to ensure it is below 4” in height. HOA board members will knock on your front door and if you do not answer it immediately they will go to the rear of your home and walk right inside through a back door if it is unlocked. That has occurred on two occasions and to two different residents that I am aware of. I don’t know how we’ve managed to live within this development for 10 years..."
