My child started kindergarten in 2020 remotely so when she entered 1st grade at Love, in person, she thrived and fell in love with school. The teachers and the principal are wonderful, passionate and committed to creating a welcoming, nurturing and inclusive environment for all students. There is a strong sense of community at Love Elementary with a caring and supportive PTA. A diverse school with families from all different ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds and an everyday culture that promotes inclusion and respect for all cultures.

Wood faces significant challenges with student behavior and administrative oversight, resulting in an unsafe and disruptive environment. A small group of students repeatedly engages in violent and disruptive behavior, including physical altercations in classrooms that have injured teachers and targeted female students. Specific incidents include boys filming themselves assaulting another student in the bathroom and ongoing issues with sexual harassment among students, which appear to go unaddressed.Disciplinary measures are inconsistent, as repeat offenders face minimal consequences, such as suspensions, allowing disruptive behavior to continue unchecked. The administration seems more focused on preventing incidents from being recorded on phones than addressing the underlying violence.
