4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have one kid that attends Signal knob. There are so many HORRIBLE things I've seen at this school. It saddens me to have to send my kid off to school everyday. Not a day goes by that my kid comes home and doesn't have 2-4 bad things to tell about how the day was. The most HORRIBLE things for me is there is bullying and the staff do NOTHING about it, The cafeteria ladies give the students burnt food and how rude the staff is. There is one science teacher I know that is the rudest at this school. How can someone who is rude and disrespectful teach my kid any respect and manners? THEY CAN'T! The parents do need to be more involved BUT who wants to deal with a bunch of rude people? I don't! Parents need to be involved in getting this school new staff.Parent Review10y ago - Sandy Hook Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSandy Hook is an excellent school. My daughter has attended K & 1st. I am amazed at how much my daughter has learned, she is reading better now in first grade than I read at 5th or 6th grade. The parent involvement is great as well. I am involved in the Watch Dog program at the school & you can definetly feel the apprecation from the students as well as the teachers. I would highly recommend this school.Parent Review13y ago - Strasburg High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageStrasburg is a great town, I have been here for a while but Strasburg High School focuses way too much on sports. There are many fights situations where kids are cussing every second and they are doing it in front of the staff and they don't do anything about it. This school could have many opportunities to make life for kids better, especially with FFA. The Agriculture teacher there is old, and can't do as much as the middle school ag teacher but if more people would volunteer and the school would emphasize the fact the FFA is a thing at Strasburg high school, then kids would have a lot more to do, and sports wouldn't be as much of an obsession. Strasburg High School could be a better place if they tried and cared more about the students.Parent Review2y ago - Check out schools near 170 N Eberly St.
