Odessa Shannon isn't all that great. I've seen a security guard been called for help by my friend for just a simple reason and he replied with a shake of the head and walked away. My friends well-being was hurt. However the sixth-grade counselor is great and most of the sixth-grade teachers make sure you get the job done. Recently, a sixth-grader was hurt, bad. He was injured by another sixth-grader that threw a large piece of metal at his skull. He was hospitalized immediately. I'm saying, if you're a student seeing this, and you have another better option, go for it. Don't go along with your friends. Just meet up and call dude. If you do go to Odessa, make the right choices.

I have several children who have attended MCPS schools. Glenallan is by far the most outstanding. Each morning when my daughter leaves for school I am filled with feelings of happiness, pride, and confidence that she will learn and grow. Mr. Moran greets her by name every time he sees us. He knows how she is doing in class and even congratulated me on her assessment score! He makes my daughter feel important and the teachers she has had believe the same and demonstrate it through their actions. I am so proud to be a member of the community!

I am currently a student here at Kennedy I will say that they really do have good programs, good teachers, and overall they have really good programs and classes to take here. MOST of the teachers are nice some of them get to annoyed easily and that's why students get frustrated. The students overall are very lazy and don't like to do their work, they prefer being with the crowd etc. This school does help with non English students and that's very helpful. I think this school is pretty good tbh everything is good its just the students making it difficult to learn, that's why I think they should be more stricter especially with freshman! Many students are inmature and I think that could be fixed if the school actually put more work into it. But overall its a really good school, the staff are very motivational and want you to succeed. I think life would be easier if staff/teachers would separate the students to do want to succeed and the students who are paying attention/class clowns so the environment can be easier and so teachers know which students to focus on if that makes sense.
