9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur son just started in Pre-K this Fall and we are very happy with the teachers, the curriculum, and the school leadership. We just moved from the East Coast and we were initially looking at private schools. I decided to pop in and visit Tesuque Elementary to check it out since it is near our home and when I met the Principal she immediately dropped everything and gave me a tour and told me about her philosophy and we decided to enroll. I am so glad that we did. Our son is excited to go to school and comes home happy and enthusiastic about his day. Not only do we absolutely love the teachers in his class (which has 14 students and 2 teachers) but all of his elective teachers like art, gym, and music are wonderful. The school facilities are up to date and the library and playgrounds are awesome. One section of the playground includes large musical instruments. The principal is on her second year at here and comes from a successful charter school in California. The families are very involved in school events and it has been all around a great experience.Parent Review8y ago2 Reviews - Santa Fe Engage

"Lot’s of retired and empty nesters. HOA is strict and somewhat arbitrary in their decision s. Great views. Car ownership is near mandatory. "

"There is a nice walkway for all the dogs and their owners to enjoy and explore. Lots of wildlife of deer and beautiful landscaping of surrounding buildings. I absolutely love this neighborhood and all it has to offer for its patrons and their guests. "

"If you allow time for your commute and prepare accordingly, it’s not bad at all. School zones can sometimes be a bit tricky. "

"Totally dog oriented community. Almost everyone pushing a stroller has a dog in it. Surprisingly quiet at night despite all the dogs. "

"Ragle park is nearby and nice. The neighborhoods feel safe. There are some sketchy people high on hard drugs around the train station. Be mindful of your surroundings when walking the rail trail near the train stop. "
