I used to love this school. My eldest daughter has been attending this school since Kindergarten. The teachers used to be very supportive and understanding, but recently, the teachers that have been added the last couple of years are not willing to provide any leeway for students suffering from illness or anxiety. One teacher in particular was added this year and she gives assignments that are due a couple hours after school ends. Many students partake in extracurricular activities and can not finish the assignment in that time. Or we have experienced technical difficulties and yet the teacher still will not accept the assignment to be turned in after the deadline even though she does not even look at the homework that evening. She says it's to teach the kids time management and prepare them for high school, but even my nieces in college don't have such experiences with any of their classes, so it seems more about control than time management. The previous principle was always up beat and happy to the point where it was contagious. He loved engaging with the children and speaking with the parents. The new principle always looks mad and very unapproachable. All the kids I've spoken to that attend this school feel the same way.
