I would choose Solon or Aurora who’s distinct’s are growing vs Kenston who’s enrollment has gotten so low, the eighth graders students are now a part of the high school. Teachers truly care and are great! Socially, it’s a very hard district to break into if you haven’t been there since Kindergarten. As a parent I had always been very involved in the school district and here it was very hard to be included. Very much the “Bainbridge Bubble” as it is called. If you didn’t grow up here as a parent or your children hasn’t been here since they were young, it’s not an accepting place. Solon is one of the best schools in the state and I wish looking back I had chosen it for our family. Bullying is brushed under the rug and overall there are much better districts to send your students to.

Kenston has been a great for our children. They are getting a fantastic education, while also being in an accepting environment to children regardless of gender, socioeconomic status, race or sexual orientation. Children with special needs are also very supported by staff. Many opportunity’s for kids to thrive.

The school post morals and positive characteristics on the walls but the needs of diverse students and moral setting is not focused on. When a parent states concerns to the principal, they are not heard. A lot of the teachers are great but there are a few that can create a unenjoyable school environment. The students lack respect and awareness of diversity.
