10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have an 8th grader and a 7th grader in this school. It is a big school but they manage it very well. Every time I call the school with a question, my question is answered quickly and politely. My kids are learning a lot and their teachers have high expectations for them. They have had opportunities to pursue their interests, including music, drama, coding, and journalism.Parent Review1y ago22 Reviews - J.V. Washam Elementary

"Been here for 4 years. It’s nice and quiet. Infrastructure seems to be moving forward as well. Road expansion should help alleviate the new people moving here."

"The biggest challenge for Huntersville is growth. It’s booming! And while plans exist for expanding the infrastructure to support the growth, question is whether elements will be completed on time. Shopping is adequate. What’s needed are schools and road improvements...off the main interstates."

"Traffic is probably one of the low points of this neighborhood and actually most of the Huntersville North Carolina area. There has not been any progress in the improvement of the road system in this area for many years. All scheduled improvements keep getting pushed out further and further and further."
