School ranking dropped from 893 to 1127, which is its lowest ranking ever (back to 2004)--with 2024 also being that low; there are also significant achievement drops in several groups: multi-racial (29%); gifted/talented (11%); males (8%); Hispanic (16%); White (13%). Then when I read the principal got some kind of principal "recognition" about 8 months ago...how does anyone consider a 234-spot ranking drop worthy of celebration--especially when all these groups suffer significant declines? The principal is supposed to be the instructional leader and held accountable for school performance but the numbers prove failure instead. Add to that 40% of the HS staff left one year, which points to administrative pressures on teachers, because teachers don't leave when they feel valued and supported. This world is truly backwards when any place promotes this person to a higher admin position when she's lowered this school's performance and led it to its absolute lowest in history.

I'm new and i love it it is the best school i have ever went to i came from Queen City and it is better than Queen City !

My school goes above and beyond to reach students! Communication from teachers to parents is great and there are many awards and other ways to recognize the students. They really let the kids know they are loved!
