When I was there it was a good school, but now my younger sister comes home from school talking about how she gets bullied or picked on 4/5 days of a typical school week. It got to the point a girl even started a fight with her. My sister defended her self as anyone would a got suspended longer than the girl that started the fight!! This school has changed drastically from what it used to be not that it was a amazing school but now I wouldn’t think about sending my own kids there.

My son is now in his second year at this school. He is non verbal and autistic. from February of this year, to the day of me writing this, he has had 5 incidents where another child has harmed him. he has come home with deep scratches and cuts on his face, as well as large bruises from being tripped. The last incident he was pushed and hit his cheek off the corner of a television stand, leaving a large bruise. I'm lucky if I receive a call or even a note about these. There have been multiple cases where I am stuck on the phone trying to get a hold of someone because my child is covered in scratches with no note or any explanation as to why. My son cant speak, therefore cant advocate for himself or tell me what's wrong, what happened to him, or who did it.

Belleview high school has progressively gotten more authoritarian since I've attended. The staff treat the students like livestock to herd to their next classes. The school models a society in which students have three options: enrollment, employment, or enlistment. The police presence on campus has tripled since 2020. Some teachers are really good but most see their career as a job to bully children as opposed to nurturing the next generation to be active citizens. This school criminalizes 'problem students' instead of providing them resources to be successful. There is a separate gifted curriculum that the school grooms for college while preparing the rest to be wage slaves.
