"Lived here since 2017, it’s quiet and peaceful once you get used to the sound of the train. Neighbors are all friendly since my evil next door neighbor sold. "
  • Cecilia Dominguez
"Nice it’s peaceful here and some people are actually nice would recommend living here and checking out the plaza "
  • Trulia User
"Very small tight knit family community. Community goes above and beyond for the children. Lots of fun things for the adults to do as well. Just overall very down down to earth community"
  • Kelly A.
"Been here for years and don’t plan on leaving. People are nice and the neighborhood is clean. Most necessary stores are close."
  • Babylonss

  • Rob R.
"Commute ain't too bad, it really depends on when you are leaving and which routes you take. Some streets are small and only have one lane in each direction, so those can really back up. "
  • Julie
"People love their pets: dogs and cats. Dogs are outside on walks with their humans all the time. Dog park in town, and some restaurants have paws on the patio! "
  • Taylor N.
"There are a lot of families with younger kids in this neighborhood. Safe area, near the square and there’s a park near by as well. "
  • Amber W.
"People are nice but traffic is bad because people in Woodstock do not know how to drive. Other than that...it is great!"
  • Wendybird07
"People are friendly and there is a sense of community. We are close to everything. I live near a park that is good for walking and exercising. There is fireworks display at the park in the summertime on the 4th of July and I can sit and watch it right outside my front door. I am also close enough to walk to the library and the Square. The real estate taxes are low"
  • Kimber H.
"Great place for dog owners. Everyone is out during the day walking their dogs and they are super friendly. "
  • Denise
"I’ve lived in this neighborhood since 1991 I love Woodstock but the taxes are just choking me and there’s a lot to do out here it’s a beautiful place to live but they need to fix the potholes and lower the taxes and give us more options of things to do if we’re gonna pay all these taxes therefore I am moving out of state someone else can enjoy this beautiful place and pay the outrageous taxes"
  • Denise
"I’ve lived in this neighborhood since 1992 there’s so much to do here I love this place but the taxes are killing me it’s all about money money money and it’s Pot holes all over not very many grocery stores A lot of pizza places for all the taxes we pay things should totally be different around here I am moving out of state my house is for sale"
  • Denise
"There always walking there dogs out here all over the place there’s lots of sidewalks and a lot of parks to walk them"
  • Monica G.
"Has public transportation. You’re looking to drive 20-30 minutes into Crystal Lake or Mchenry just to get access to shops. "
  • Taylor K.
"The square has a lot of great family friendly things through out the year which is great. Otherwise besides bowling alley and the mini golf place not a whole for younger kids besides things at the library or one of the local parks"
  • Dominico M.
"You see people walking their dog all the time. We had bag to clean after dogs in my apartment complex . It’s nice and clean here. "
  • Nadine G.

"I use my car to commute to work and back. When doing errands it is easy to travel around town and other nearby towns. Farmers market often in the summer and a very friendly community."
  • Sean
"Great place to raise a family. Good schools and public library. Good solid family oriented community built on grass roots. Plenty to eat and drink along the charming downtown square. Public transportation is close and reliable, for that weekend trip to the big city. Safe and secure neighborhoods give you your option on what part of town you want to be. Wether it is spring, summer, fall or winter there is always something to do and experience in Woodstock."
  • Wendybird07

Also for entertainment, there is the Historic Woodstock Square where there is some great Bars and Restaurants, a Movie Theater, the Opera House and a frozen yogurt place for those hot summer days or simply a sweet treat!
