This is a fabulously kid & adult friendly home perfectly suited if you're looking to escape to the hidden coastal gem of Cardiff by the Sea. With ocean views, amazing outdoor space for entertaining, privacy & quiet abound, its the perfect getaway home.

The finest home in Cardiff - perfectly set up for families and groups of 6-8 people traveling together, with little ones, wanting privacy and exclusivity while enjoying ocean views and a 2 minute drive to beaches, restaurants and shopping.

We consider occupancy to be up to 7 adults, and we provide 1 pack n play for use for an 8th (child). Of course any combination of 7 is fine, but to be clear the 8th occupant must be a child (pack n play). The bed combination is such that 2 adults may not be ideal for the room with the double.

Most important for any home rental you are considering is the reviews. We are honored and pleased to show that our reviews are ALL 5 star. Most folks have stated the pictures do not do the home justice. We think you'll feel the same.

With breathtaking ocean views, an amazing outdoor space for entertaining complete with gas BBQ island, outdoor gas fireplace, outdoor showers and plentiful seating, this home is perfect for you.

This home features a recently renovated and contemporary layout, both interior and exterior, with exposed ipe and santa barbara finish stucco as well as all the contemporary and modern furnishings inside for you to help you 'get away from it all'. This home is fully loaded all the way down to the in cabinet Miele coffee machine.

With magnificent views of the Pacific Ocean from the master bedroom and entire second floor, you are just a mile (+/-) away from the best beaches San Diego has to offer ... Cardiff Reef, Georges, Swamis and Pipes (to name just a few)...

This home has a full kitchen with all the amenities, quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances (Thermador refrigerator, stove, oven, dishwasher) gas cooktop, and even a brass pot filler. The cupboards are stocked with the vacation rental ready dishware, stemware, and glassware. Additionally all necessary cooking and eating utensils and dishware are provided.

The kitchen was recently renovated and upgraded to natural hardwood white oak, and earth tiles backsplash.

The first floor living room features a 55" Samsung Frame Smart TV that doubles as art work when not in use.

With recessed lighting and concrete (micro top) floors on the entry level, and hardwood floors on the stairs and second floor, upgraded bathrooms, classic design furniture pieces like the Eames chair and Jacobsen egg chair and collectors pieces, in addition to one of the best backyards for entertaining in the entire area, this home is complete from inside out.

While the inside of the home is wonderfully appointed, the backyard is this property's featured attraction according to past guests. As mentioned above, couches and midcentury modern chair seating, dedicated outdoor dining table with umbrella, natural gas fireplace, and a natural gas bbq island make the backyard a truly exception extension of this home.

In addition the home offers synthetic turf in the backyard and a handful of kid friendly play accessories for climbing and play. A large modern umbrella provides shade during warm sunny days, and a trellis overhang offers the same above for those wanting to relax off the second story master bedroom while checking out the ocean or an amazing Cardiff sunset. Two palm springs midcentury chairs are shaded by the overhang of the master bedroom deck, but there's plenty of room to move them into direct sunlight.

From the second floor master suite enjoy sunset and ocean views. The master bedroom also has his/her bathroom sinks, double shower heads in a recently remodeled bathroom, bathtub and 40" SmartTV HDTV. (A smart tv means all apps are preloaded into the tv/dashboard; so HULU, Netflix, Youtube, Disney, eg - can all be accessed through the tv, you'll just need to have an account / login for that app). The california king size bed is situated so you can wake up with views of the ocean. There is a chest of drawers for your clothing storage. The master bedroom closet is unavailable. Finally, enjoy evenings on the private deck off the master with spectacular ocean and sunset views.

There are two kid friendly bedrooms on the second floor, just steps from the master (please note that the second kid bedroom may be locked off at parts of the year and thus unavailable. Please check before booking as this could indicate the home is being rented as a 4 not a 5 bedroom home if so). These two rooms share the upstairs 'rainbow' bathroom; but are not jack and jill, as you must exit the bedroom in order to enter the bathroom.
**(Even if one of these bedrooms is locked off and not made part of the rental availability. nonetheless there's 2 bedrooms on the second floor (including the primary (king) and other bedroom (double) and the two ground floor bedrooms both Queen beds.

Everything on site except for locked storage units (garage) and master bedroom closet and any locked off bedroom (2nd floor) if so described.

How much are we available?
As much as is necessary. We are available 24/7 before and during your stay but only if and when you need assistance. Otherwise the home is all yours. We also want to make this a unique experience and not just like a run of the mill hotel. We may text hello from time to time to ask how the stay is going. We may drop a gift for you or welcome present (like a dessert) to make your stay just a little bit sweeter. We are just a bit old fashioned when it comes to that kind of thing (customer service) and in a day and age where everything moves so fast and is so digital, we like to take a step back and slow things down a bit -- at least just enough to say hello in person, to shake your hand and thank you for choosing our home for your vacation needs.

Our property is Air Concierge Rental Certified. All photos and amenities have been verified by Air Concierge staff. Our calendar and rates are 100% accurate. We strive to make it as easy as possible to stay at our property - you just drive right up and enter via our secure locking instructions. Keys and security concerns only when necessary based on certain properties, or unique codes that work for your reservation only. We will notify you proactively when early check-in / late check-outs are possible and you'll receive the comforts of a luxury home when you arrive like a starter supply of shampoo, soaps, paper products and hotel-quality towels and linens. In addition, when you book we will send you a mobile app link with property directions, details, unlock code and instructions. And if you need us, we are available 24 hours each day with live help. Parking at the property includes private driveway (2 cars) and ample street parking in this quiet, residential neighborhood. There is garage parking but no garage door remote provided.

The quiet and family orientated neighborhood makes your stay safe. Our home is enclosed with fences for your kids and pets. Our streets are well lit for evening walks.

The pool was added and constructed in 2023. Its approximately 26' long by 15' wide. At the deepest point the depth is 6'. The depth at or near the bottom stair is 3'. The hot tub seats 6-8 people and is approximately 6' x 8' and 3' deep.

The pool is a saltwater pool. A saltwater pool uses a salt chlorine generator. This means that instead of adding chlorine to the pool water, we add salt, and the generator converts it to chlorine. It's called a saltwater pool because you add salt to the water at a level high enough to allow the machine to function, which also makes the water feel silkier.

Pool & Spa Heating: We try to follow a schedule of pool heating such that during rental times we run the pool heater to 80-82 degrees and upon request activate the hot tub heating as desired (up to 102-104 degrees). During that time, the pool heating may not be functional as the system is a single heating system (thus if the hot tub is heating, the pool is not). If no hot tub heating is requested the pool will attempt to stay heated from 10am -9pm (or thereabouts). This will help to ensure that your pool water is heated to a comfortable temperature throughout the day. For summer/ warm seasons, closing the pool cover at night, and warm day time temperatures will naturally warm the pool). In those periods pool heating via the heater may not be available).
