"Good and interesting, always a lot of people and new people. Every store and cafe is exclusive and nice."
  • Slaperri
"A lot of Saugerties is rural; but even in town there is a lot of sidewalk space to walk around and several parks. There’s also several places with access to the Hudson River for puppy swimming"
  • Kcmoore89
"Local ball drop on Christmas Eve, Santa comes though town on a fire truck, local Christmas tree lighting, local live music venues, garlic festival, car show, local art, farmers market. It’s prolly the cutest place ever "
  • Joy_chew2
"how could you complain being right next to the Hudson River and the Catskills. people are friendly and is truly a beautiful place to live"
  • R P.
"Car shows , garlic fest, other festivals, zombie crawl, new year ball drop, horse shows, parades and many more things."
  • Sam
"Good sense of local pride in a very laid back manner. Non pretentious and artsy with local food restaurants and café "
  • Ally K.
"It’s a nice place to live but it’s very boring. I have been here three years so I’m ready to go back home to Long Island. "
  • Debbie.burdge%40yahoo.com
"I've lived here for eight months. My mother has lived here for 30 years. Great people here. People respect the environment."
  • Dteddybear23
"The neighborhood is great with dogs everyone walks there dogs around the neighborhood and takes them down to the school before or after school and Eat there dogs run "
  • Stacey F.
"Born and raised and still reside here. A lot of good memories Christmas in the village car shows Orpheum theater ice skating ball park zombie night "
  • Badbrainsgirl
"bad neighborhood for dogs. major high way, lots of speeding and dead animals. also wild animals that are big enough to kill house cats."
  • Melissa S.
"There are a lot of children in the area. Parents should be aware of drivers in the area, they are not the safest drivers unfortunately, they can be careless and reckless! It is a very nice area to live in! "
  • Margarita Asiain
"It's quiet, unassuming, not pretentious. Saugerties has a pretty village with restaurants, shops and old movie theatre, and spreads out so much of it is quite rural, which I love."
  • Tom
"Its a quiet area. It lies somewhere happily between seclusion and convenience. A 5-10 minute drive to downtown Woodstock and Saugerties and all that entails. A 5-10 minute drive to miles upon miles of hiking and backpacking trails. Some of which connect to and stretch for the eastern coast of the US, from Vermont to Georgia. A 30 minute drive to multiple micro cities, ski resorts and villages and a 60 minute drive to Albany and Newburgh which each have their own perfectly sized airports. I think the area is the perfect place to live when you don't want to deal with the stresses of the modern world but still want the convenience of it."
  • Jason K.
"The sawyer car show is absolutely amazing. I enjoy the Christmas in the village as well, the Siracusano family really contributes to the community and I am honored to be a part of it. Saugerties in general is just a great place to relax on the town and enjoy everything that it has to offer. "
  • Ajrmasonry
"There are many families here and many great parks and sporting events throughout the summer and most of the year"
  • Deborahabarry
"5 miles to major grocery store. Many local shops in the village 7 miles to mall shopping in Kingston Thruway exit right there"
  • Ajrmasonry
"There is always something going on in the neighborhood! Plus Saugerties is known for its festivals. "
  • Mike N.
"I've lived here my whole life and it's an ok town to live and raise kids but expensive to live here "
  • Samantha c.
"Calm streets, nice scenery and a million hiking trails for long walks. Good local vets and not far from Woodstock Dog Park. "
  • Jkalkire
"Friendliness of the people. We all have a common goal and seem to watch out for one another without getting into each other's business."
  • Sheila H.
"It's a beautiful little town, close to the city, and has everything. village swimming, designer stores, horses, charm."
