I do not agree with the no soccer, basketball, or flag football at recess rule. I think it prevents kids from being kids and enjoying playing the sports they love. It's these years that prepare them for middle school sports. I also do not agree with the children having to run a lap around the playground before going about their recess playtime. That should be their free time to choose how to use it. More small help groups for children struggling in certain areas would also be beneficial.

Memorial truly prepared me academically. Couldn't have asked for a better education, and in that regard it definitely deserves 10/10. I've had university classes easier than classes I took here. I would feel very comfortable sending my child here. The main downside is the cliques, and the difficulty I've seen new students have trying to make friends. Many people in Eau Claire have lived here for generations and though it's a large town, everyone still manages to know everyone--especially because the south side (54701) and the north side (54703) are virtually different towns completely. There's also a slight drug problem and some people complain of a lack of friendliness. Move here when your kids are young and get them involved in activities and you should be fine.

They don't care about the kids well being at this school, especially when a child reaches out for help in dire need, they say there's nothing they can do.
