"The Stapley Greens development seems to be a good place to live but it is poorly maintained by the HOA which raises rates every year and changed hands at least three times when I lived there. The grass was nice when I moved in but when I moved out it was covered in clover and looked horrible. They also don't allow you to park on the street in front of your own house at night. When I asked they said it was due to the older residents not being able to navigate the roads safely. The roads are wider than most neighborhoods and traffic is at its lowest at night, so the argument just doesn't make sense. Just an example of the bad decisions this HOA makes. They also shut down the built in hot tub and bought a regular above ground unit that was not made for use by an entire community and it soon broke down and the old built in unit had to be turned back on. The pool is also no fun and cannot have furniture because the kids in the area steal or throw it in the pool. The Mesa Police Helicopter can be heard in the air on occasion looking down with the spotlight, it is also in the flight path of Sky Harbor Airport and plane noise used to shake my house. Their are also a lot of dogs in the area that were constantly barking and many houses that are rentals so different people are always moving in and out and you never know who is going to end up living next to you."
