McBee elementary is an example of what I believe schools today should be. I taught for 30 years and now have a grandson attending there. When you walk in there is no mass confusion as in other elementary schools. The principal is visible along with other faculty members greeting the students not just on the first day but throughout the year. I have volunteered as a tutor and to aid during testing times. There is an orderly way in which the students go down the hall and teachers are always visible. To add a little "spice" to the students day they often have music over the PA that is popular at the time. Their cafeteria staff is very organized and if a visitor were to come at that time they would be surprised how well behaved the students are besides being served a very nutritious lunch!! I have been in many schools that it would be almost a nightmare to visit. I commend the way the school is run and am so glad that they more or less remind me of the way things were EXCEPT they have all the high tech such as the boards where teacher and students interact. It is a shame that there are not more schools that are like McBee Elementary. I feel blessed to be allowed to be involved!

I liked this school and while it was a good school,I feel as if it wasn't complete.There are four people that would have to be the best people there because I could come to them whenever I wanted and I could trust them.This school is well suited for home town kinda kids but not really much more than that.
