About this House

A true GEM in historic Bivins. This 1940s minimal traditional home has been updated with charming details that make it one-of-a-kind. The original hardwoods run throughout the entire home and were refinished in 2020. The entire house (interior and exterior) has been freshly textured and painted with a refreshing, soothing color palette that is consistent throughout the house. Walking into the living room you are greeted with custom transom doorways that add just the right amount of charm. The original fireplace mantel has been accompanied by custom built-ins on either side that adds beauty and symmetry to the open and airy living room. The kitchen has been completely updated with all new appliances and a fresh coat of paint to the cabinets. Buttercream quartz countertops compliment the designer tile and large composite granite sink. The kitchen is topped off with a custom, solid white oak island. The house features 3 great size bedrooms with ample closet storage. The 2 bathrooms in the home have been completely renovated with tasteful and high end finishes that add a truly unique touch to the home. A new automatic sprinkler system has been installed in the front yard along with fresh fescue sod and window boxes that add so much curb appeal! The backyard is LARGE and has a cute back patio with cafe lights and a solar shade. Other features of the home include a security system installed in the house with a camera doorbell, interior security camera, motion detectors and a panic button in the master bedroom. The detached 2-car garage is automatic and there is plenty of driveway space for extra parking. All the original sash windows have been restored and look gorgeous! All of the windows are functioning and securely lock. One-touch bamboo shades have been custom fit to many of the windows. All of the interior doors have the original crystal doorknobs and hardware that have been meticulously restored to their former glory. A fresh layer of insulation was added to the attic in Jan. 2021 and a brand new fence was installed along the garage in July 2021. So much love and care was put into making this house a home, don't miss out!

"this area is very great for its easy access to major highways. the weather changes almost hourly. but the people are friendly. "
  • Zgharle0131
"In Amarillo it is very common for dogs to be stolen from back yards. People mark your fence during the day then come back at night or when no one is there and steal the dogs for dog fighting/money. As long as you make sure your dogs are never outside when no one is home or at night it should be okay. Just be cautious. "
  • Patrice P.
"Easy to get from one area to the next usually 20 minutes if the flow of traffic is heavy 5 to 10 minutes if traffic is lite"
  • Joe V.
"Good walking area, 4 parks within walking distance. Downtown is right up the street. Because the Salvation Army is just on the other side of downtown we do get the random weirdo both in the alley and snooping around at night. I personally have only had 2 issues iin 2 years. 1 was someone about to steal a package from my porch. The other was was people parking in the alley in front of my garage. My dogs love to walk in the neighborhood. Harrison st is notorious for having itโ€™s residence blocking the walkway. "
  • Suharmon72
"no events in the neighborhood.......................................................... . "
  • Lola W.
"No commute to speak of because everything is so close in Amarillo. 15 minutes and you can drive from N to S and E to W. "
  • James H.
"Awesome and friendly neighborhood close to downtown and easy access to everything Amarillo college the mall and other fun activities "
