6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe administration system at Garey High School has proven to be inadequate, as evidenced by the persistent occurrence of fights on campus. Despite inquiries into the security measures in place, responses consistently revolve around the promise of increased security during lunch and external programs. However, these efforts have fallen short of effectively addressing the ongoing safety concerns. It is evident that there is a tendency for the administration to overlook issues, potentially masking deficiencies in their management.Parent Review1y ago9 Reviews - Simons Middle School

"It’s nice to have events close by at the Fairplex, and there are a lot of great public/community resources available throughout Pomona— specifically public health. Our neighborhood, specifically, does not do any organized events, and I generally spend my time outside of Pomona (grocery shopping/errands in La Verne, San Dimas, or Glendora, and work in Orange County) because many parts of Pomona are NOT safe at all and I don’t feel comfortable taking my family anywhere in town."

"I don’t think Pomona is safe. I don’t feel Comfortable taking a walk. There are homeless encampments in many locations. I regularly call to report graffiti. The roads aren’t great; lots of potholes. Doesn’t seem to be important for city entities to take care of. Pomona isn’t well-maintained. "

"Don’t come here. Streets aren’t maintained. Sidewalks aren’t maintained. It’s not safe. I don’t feel safe walking around. I highly recommend moving out of state. "

"Pomona has ugly parts in the two main blvds and some houses. Nonetheless, it has a few really nice residential areas and the down town part is thriving. It makes me somewhat proud of living in a city with a lot of history and culture."
