My child is in the magnet IT program and it has been phenomenal so far. The magnet coordinator is a tip-notch educator. She’s a wonderful manager of the program and is so caring about each and every single student. She knows all of the magnet students by name.. It’s my daughter’s first year at the school and she is so happy there and being far more challenged than she was in the Cambridge program she was in at Boca Raton Community Middle School last year. She’s in Honors Algebra and getting HS credit for it in 7th grade. On back to school night I was so completely impressed with the curriculum and each of her teachers. Is the school beautiful and new with gorgeous sports fields and facilities? No. But there are plenty of sports and clubs offered. And I cannot say enough great things about this magnet program and the education my daughter is getting there. All of her teachers are fast responding to me when I have questions and respond immediately in emails. And the fact that it’s a direct pathway into Pompano Beach High School as long as you maintain your grades and test scores— is the best part. PBHS is one of the top high schools in the country, not just the state. Don’t judge a book by its cover. If you go visit the school and spend the time with the Magnet coordinator you will see for yourself what a quality program this is. Get involved with the PTO like I and many other parents have and you’ll see it’s a great community with other parents who deeply care about their child’s education.

The principal at this school is horrible. If I didn't love my daughter's teacher, we probably would have changed schools. So sad that the teachers are great but the administrations sucks. Unfortunately there is a lot of bullying at this school as well. And there is a huge lack of communication.

I had one son who graduated from there in the honors and Cambridge courses, and he is in his final year in college. My other son is beginning sophomore year, and is in the engineering magnet and taking Cambridge courses. The building has made a vast improvement for the learning environment. Great teachers and supportive staff make a huge difference.
