2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWith Adams improvement over the years it has to be the best elementary school in Cleburne ISD. The teachers and staff do everything that they can to help the students achieve the things that they need to do well ad they advance grades ..Mrs. Hodges is one of the best teachers my son has ever had and is advancing and is using his potential.Parent Review10y ago4 Reviews - Cleburne High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageParents, PLEASE RECONSIDER sending your child to CHS due to the sheer incompetence of its administration that fails to address pressing issues such as bullying, academic shortcomings, and facility maintenance, creating an unsafe and unsupportive environment for students. They would rather act like police officers. Bullying is a pervasive problem at CHS and the administration's lack of action only exacerbates the issue. Students who are targeted by bullies often find themselves without recourse or protection from the school's authorities, leading to ongoing harassment and emotional distress.Academically, the administration's neglect is evident in the outdated curriculum and lack of support for struggling students. Rather than implementing proactive measures to address academic challenges, the administration turns a blind eye, leaving students to flounder without proper guidance or resources.Facilities at Cleburne are in a state of disrepair, with inadequate maintenance contributing to an unpleasant and potentially hazardous learning environment. Despite numerous complaints from students, parents, and staff, the administration has failed to prioritize facility improvements, further underscoring their incompetence.Extracurricular activities, which play a crucial role in student development and engagement, are sorely lacking at Cleburne High The administration's failure to invest in extracurricular programs deprives students of valuable opportunities for personal growth, leadership development, and social interaction outside of the classroom. The toxic culture that pervades CHS can be directly attributed to the administration's inability to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment. Cliques and social hierarchies flourish unchecked, while students who do not fit into these rigid social structures are marginalized and overlooked by school leadership.Parents should carefully consider these shortcomings before entrusting their child's education to Cleburne High School.Parent Review2y ago11 Reviews - Lowell Smith Jr Middle School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy experience with Smith Middle School, now Smith Intermediate, has been a good one over the years. Many great student leaders got their start at this school. The teachers genuinely care for their students and plan fun interactive lessons to spur the best possible learning opportunities. I have had one child go through this school, and she loved her teachers. We have a reputation for a great fine arts program. Our principals are creative and inspiring. Love Smith!Teacher Review2y ago1 Reviews - Ad Wheat Middle School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is horrible. The teachers here don't care about your mental health, and all the kids are doing drugs or cutting themselves on the wrist. I went here for 2 years and I hate it. There are so many fights and so many kids being guns to the school. Always vaping in the bathroom. The teachers do nothing about fighting. The only good thing about the school is the cop he's nice. But even the water they have there is sometimes brown and it tastes and smells like chlorine.Other Review2y ago4 Reviews - Check out schools near 1600 E 2nd St #E4TK2N.

"Driving around Cleburne is easy however commuting to the city (I.e. Dallas or Fort Worth) it’s a nightmare. Bumper to bumper traffic, hour plus delays, accidents ALL the time. "

"There are no dog parks, no public places dogs can be off leash (legally permitted city ordinances) and there are only a few pet friendly businesses. "

"Decent. 917 is under construction, the train stops on the tracks way too many times, and the bridge is a beast, but once I’m on the highway it is smooth sailing. "

"Though Cleburne does have a public transit system available, most residents drive their own vehicle to commute, whether it be around town or to the metroplex. "

"Downtown Cleburne is thriving, Whistle Stop Christmas is still the best of the best in Johnson County, Loaf’n Dog has great atmosphere and food, and Wild Rose NTX Landscaping has some great lawn care and landscaping to round it out. "

"When I commuted, the travel was awful before the Chisholm Trail, however, that new toll road is a little pricy. I do use it to get to downtown because of the convenience and it made Cleburne a bedroom community to the DFW area..."

"People don’t spray for fleas and even if you do, your animals will still get them! A lot of renters and they don’t take care of their place like an owner would!!! It’s hard to live in Cleburne "

"my fiance has lived in Cleburne 4 years and works for the jail as an inmate transporter. He is retired and he just loves working. he has been in this apt 4 years. I'm disabled and make custom dog beds and other stuff and need a garage. The people at all the stores i go to are very nice and the old houses on tree lined streets are beautiful. I found the house i want with big trees old style windows and doors. I've already met couple across street. I'm a social person and would love too spruce up this front yard. "
