"Lots of dog friendly areas and establishments around make pets feel welcome in and around the community."
  • Kim G.
"Stewartstown Carnival, Bonkey's Ice Cream, train rides, car shows, and more! This year we also had a parade down Main Street for the graduating seniors. It's a great town that's always bustling!"
  • Amfj62
"Santa and the Easter Bunny visit the neoghborhood, on 4th of July, there are wonderful fireworks and there are always yard sales!!!! "
  • Janeane_m
"I drive 58 seconds to work. My commute is about as easy as it gets. Traffic is never a problem in this area. "
  • Trulia User
"Great friendly neighborhood! Lived here twenty years. Love the area! Good schools, places to eat. Close to York and Baltimore."
  • Kim G.
"Good old small town with friendly people, lots of dogs, kids, and fun things to do in the park, especially in the summer!"
  • Trulia User
"Trick or treating, local team pit beef, Boy Scout Christmas trees Friendly neighbors and store owners"
  • Tyge G.
"Small town life with all the benefits of community yet close enough to conveniences to make it easy to live here. "
  • Kim G.
"There are many dogs in the area, and everyone is super friendly. The dogs are always well behaved, and the owners are very attentive. It’s a quiet area, too. The only “bad” section is Main Street because of the traffic. Any sections off Main Street are wonderful. Also, you’ll definitely see many dogs and their owners at the local ice cream shop enjoying a cone together. :)"
  • Jesse T.
"Octoberfest, Memorial Day, Morning After Memorial Day neighborhood parties plus visiting neighbor firepits! "
  • Twotall1988
"This is a really nice area known affectionately by the locals as little Maryland. The major draw back, and some see this as a benefit, is that it is about a 5 mile/10 min drive away from any significant stores (restaurants, hardware stores, walmart, etc...) but there is a Sure Fine/Sables within walking distance of most of the area. It is also about a 30 min drive from any entertainment whether you are going to the movies or what ever in York, PA or Hunt Valley, MD. Other than that it is safe, quiet, and just far enough away from all the hassle and bustle of city life."
