      "Most of the residents on Rue Chalet and Normandy Trail in the Brittany Harbor East Subdivision are either retirees or weekenders from Atlanta who own lake homes. There are a few adults who still work. The neighborhood is clean, quiet and safe. The subdivision sits on the lake. A number of homes are for sale, mainly by families of the owners have have passed away. Many of the homes were built in the 1970's and 1980s and would need some updating. The subdivision is about five miles from downtown Lavonia where there are shops and restaurants. It's 20 miles from Anderson and Seneca, SC and about three miles from I-85. Overall, I would recommend this subdivision to anyone looking for a nice community either retire to or raise a family. Taxes vary depending on whether your house is on the lake or inside. On the lake, they run around $2,000 a year. Inside, between $400 - $1,200 a year. "
