3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSo I sincerely wanted the school to see this feedback because I think it's ridiculous, absurd, that you can't use backpacks and they only allow one folder, and days later they forbade the use of the folder, and the folder costs 30 dollars, meaning a waste of money. And you know why? Because there are delinquent students who steal computers from the school and everyone gets the blame. I think yes, they should allow backpacks to school, but the children have to stop being delinquents and the teachers have to pay more attention. Thank you.Student Review5mo ago13 Reviews - Ridge Community High School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school doesn't deserve ONE star but I can't choose zero. The faculty, especially the front office staff, are ridiculously incompetent and make everything ten times harder than it needs to be, from enrollment to graduation. The staff also refused to accommodate my child's disability and mobility devices for months despite plans in place with the county signed by their medical care team. The elevator was "broken" or they were refused the access keys for months, and told on several occasions to "just walk up the stairs" by the dean and several other office staff. The harassment and bullying by both students and faculty got so infuriating and harmful that we withdrew them and started them in a Hospital Homebound program instead. The facility and office staff are now withholding my child's diploma despite Hospital Homebound emailing and calling numerous times over the course of 2 months, and only after finally refusing to be put on hold and sent to voicemail got confirmation that it was there and ready for pickup however we're still being told we can't have it until May.If your child needs to graduate and has ANY kind of disability or mobility issues, just save yourself the trouble and enroll them in the Homebound program.Ridge Community High School is too overpopulated and understaffed to show any care or compassion for students WITHOUT challenges and simply outright refuses to follow federal requirements for ADA access.Parent Review3mo ago24 Reviews - Horizons Elementary School

1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI tried to give Horizons a chance, but from the very first day I noticed issues. My child’s math teacher was listed as “TBD,” which I knew meant there was no teacher assigned. At open house, I saw the math teacher had a Kelly Education tag—this is a staffing company schools use for substitute teachers. At no point was there any communication about the lack of a permanent teacher. When I asked my child about school, I learned the sub was often absent, yet again there was no communication. Eventually, my child told me they had a new sub, but once more, the administration never informed parents. The Friday before I pulled my child, I filed a concern form to discuss options for switching classes. The office told me I’d receive a call within 24 hours. Since it was a holiday weekend, I expected a call on Tuesday. That call never came. By then, I had already found a new school for my child.I cannot recommend this school. The lack of communication from administration especially the principal, who should set the standard is unacceptable. To add to this, the car loop is a mess. There’s no sense of urgency at drop-off or pickup. Random adults are posted in the lot, but very few teachers are helping students in and out of cars. Drop-off has taken as long as an hour, which is unreasonable. Please, save yourself the stress and call other local schools before considering Horizons.Parent Review8mo ago27 Reviews - Check out schools near 159 Eagleview Loop.

"It’s a lot of younger families and very diverse. It has changed a lot over the years, but it’s still a nice home. "

"There are not sidewalks in our neighborhood. It is a gated community but without sidewalks it is difficult for children to go outside and play anywhere but in their backyards. There are no pubic pools here for the children to swim and there are no playgrounds nearby. "

"Horrible commute anywhere. 2 miles takes 20 minutes during peak travel times. The lights are poorly timed so you often get stopped up. The communities often only have one entrance and exit that get backed up as well. Very little side roads"

"I’m retired but traffic is heavy as Davenport is quickly growing. There’s a lot of construction on the roads and highways which when completed will alleviate our traffic issues, but I feel like I have a little slice of heaven here."

"Quite NEIGHBOUR and very clean with many green areas and a beautiful clubhouse that contains everything you may posso desire from the large pool to the tennis courts, gym and restaurant and a beautiful golf corse. In addition there is a lot of walking trails that allows for relaxing walks and pets enjoyment to the very best. Overall a great environment and absolutely well worthwhile HOA fees of only 129 dollars monthly. Finally, no CDD and reasonable tax rate for the many services rendered. "
