"People pretty much keep to themselves but I know if I ever needed help, any of my neighbors would lend a hand. "
  • Loribz
"I live here in the summer and have for 6 years. It’s lovely. A little crowded in the town- beautiful on the lake "
  • Andrew S.
"great area for kids. tons to do. busy roads but overall a safe, fun neighborhood. would live to live here."
  • Michelle C.
"i have seen many dogs walked, a special place for them to be in the lake, a spot in the park where they are specifically welcomed & watering station setups too."
  • Sgalkiewicz
"Not really a neighborhood to walk a dog. Lots of homes on land so no neighborhoods and busy in tourist season. "
  • Lisamarienb
"This is a tourist town. Americade comes every June. Every September we have travelers come through for the Warrensburg Townwide Garage Sale."
  • Lisamarienb
"I’ve lived in this area for 5 years and people seem very friendly. I have always loved the Adirondacks and can’t see myself living anywhere else."
  • Joanne G.
"Excellent school district. Walking distance to Hearthstone Point State Park (Lake George beach area.)"
  • Coal3919
"Here I will tell you why I rated everything what I rated them. Safety- Police are very fast when needed and will always be there for you. Pet Friendly- Crowded streets in the village are not ideal for a dog that doesnt like people, but a small dog or a big dog who is in need of lots of attention and is very lovable would love Lake George because of its parks and lake to wade in. Walkabilty- Most streets in Lake George have sidewalks, or wide roads to stay on the side of. This is very good if you have Children or dogs that like to take long walks. Restaurants & Shopping- Restaurants are scattered around the village, and if you're looking for clothing then you might have to head over to one of the mall's in Saratoga if your one of those people who like "American Eagle, Hollister Co., Etc.," Because Lake George does not supply of these stores. Parks and Recreation- Many beaches have parks with them and many parks have beaches with them. Most of the parks have Playgrounds and Bathrooms. Some parks even have boat docks or places you can launch your kayak or canoe. Most of the parks also have grills. Schools- Are fabulous and very nice, clean, and teach well. Wonderful teachers and atmosphere. Traffic- The roads are pretty fluent but sometimes when it becomes lunch break or when people get out of work the Village gets a little clogged, but not too bad. Parking- Excellent. I heard that residents of the Lake George area have special license plates so they usually dont have to pay for parking, while tourists must get a parking ticket to put on their window for an hour or 5 depending on how much you pay. Nightlife- Many danceclubs and resturaunts for those single and ready to mingle ;). Community Involvement- Awesome, everybody helps eachother out, whether its a charity, or a concert in shepards park, or a lake cleanup. Cleanliness- Lake George is very clean, so is the village, and the neighborhoods. If I were to rate Lake George from 0-10 I would pick 10 ! :D"
