I’ve had two children with learning disabilities attend Corbett. SCUCISD is a great district. We’ve been to a few other being a military family. I don’t think I would have given the full 5 star review from my sons time here, BUT this year with my youngest, the Sped team has blown me away! This has to be one of the best Sped teams I’ve had the pleasure of working with.

Amazing good teachers good programs and safe an respectful students with teachers who discipline

We're not happy here at all. I'm tired of telling my son that he has to go to school over his tears. This is not a school for bright young boys. There is no control over violent students. This stuff is Highschool type drama, not 5th and 6th grade. I'm extremely unhappy that I have no way to keep my kid safe on the bus or at school and the teachers seem completely ineffective with keeping their classes under control. I hate this school and so does my child.

We decided to transfer our daughter out of the kindergarten “Fish” class after a difficult experience. At home she is loving and well-behaved, but at school we mostly received negative reports and little focus on her positives. Some discipline practices, like being told to “get out of the carpet” in front of classmates or sitting on an “X” repeatedly, felt public and shaming rather than supportive.On a few occasions she asked adults for help when another child hurt her, but no one followed up. We also reached out to the counselor about a sensitive concern and felt the response lacked empathy.In the end, instead of encouragement and patience, our daughter felt anxious and stressed. Five-year-olds deserve to feel safe, cared for, and supported. That was not our experience, which is why we moved her to another school.
