7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagemy child went here for 5 years. front line staff and superintendent allowed my child to be pulled out of his class by my co-parent's girlfriend on 2 occasions during my parenting time and defended their behavior when confronted. my child class had a student with serve behavioral problems that made it extremely difficult to learn on a daily basis for a year. I believe the reason why this school system is allowed to rate themselves so high is because when students do not do well on the exams, they give retakes.Parent Review3y ago7 Reviews - Glen Crest Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is a really good school and the teaching is really good. They teach me a lot and I know way more now. The school challenges the students by making them do homework from the next level. I would really recommend this school. Also I am one of the only black kids in there and I feel safe and also accepted.Student Review11mo ago8 Reviews - Glenbard South High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTeachers and staff gossiped about students' grades. It made me feel depressed, especially when I was struggling to learn while dealing with personal issues at home that felt like the weight of the world on my back. Many assignments felt like a waste of time. I developed terrible imposter syndrome, even though I was an honors student with a GPA over 3.5. No one ever noticed or appreciated my hard work. That alone shows how broken the American education system really is.After COVID, most teachers stopped caring whether students were actually learning. They treated everyone the same, regardless of what they were going through. Unless your grades were high, then they would suddenly act like they cared. A lot of people in education became cold and unmotivated. They overworked students and neglected their mental health. Sometimes, helping a struggling student is not about questioning or counseling their feelings. It's about giving them space when they’re not comfortable speaking up. But most teachers don’t understand that. They don’t actually care about students’ feelings. They only pretend to when your grades make you seem worth the attention.Other Review9mo ago11 Reviews - Check out schools near 1557 Coloma Pl #0.

"We definitely need a car to live here. Public transportation is only Metra and limited buses. Downtown is about 30 miles and can be reached using Metra."

"20 min to Bloomingdale, not much traffic. Lots of traffic going into the city. Roosevelt road going east can get very backed up. "

"A lot of people walk dogs across the street from my apartment complex. They pick up after their pets. Also there are several public parks nearby and I’ve seen people playing with their dogs there. It’s beautiful and safe in this neighborhood."

"There is a short drive to two different Metra stops and there is very easy access to the highway just a couple miles up the road. The commute to downtown is not bad via train or car. "

"People are always out walking their dogs, and a lot of dogs just hang out in the backyards in the summer so you start to get to know and recognize the homes here through the dogs and not the owners, haha. Also, lots of specialized dog stores and grooming. great place for a spoiled pooch! "
