It is a good school, or at least it was when I attended. Some of the faculty has changed since then. The facilities have been improving over the years. The curriculum, sadly, has been dwindling and has become easier in comparison to what it used to be. Most of the educational "problems" are due to state laws and federal laws. The teachers have to obey them, which causes them to abandon their challenges for students. As for the lack of "discipline" in the students, that would be the parents, not the teachers. The teachers are only allowed to do so much and I know certain students who will never be reprimanded because the teachers would fear for their jobs. The teachers are very easy-going and truly do want people to succeed. They work with every student who is actually willing to do the work and learn the material. We used to have one of the highest averages of ACT scores around the area, but again the faculty and the administration have changed.

Poor leadership, underpaid staff, ongoing lack of student dicipline, and more interest in sports than academic.

This school is well run and has a lot to offer for being in such a rural area. Most of the teachers here stay for their entire term and are happy doing so.
