6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHonestly, it’s not that bad. Everybody says it is but it’s not as bad as most schools. Definetly not as bad as beckwith middle school so glad I’m out of there. Anyways it’s mediocre it’s no awesome private school but it’s one of the better public schools I’d say. There’s a wide range of sports and activities as well as academic and elective classes. Some teachers give out too much work while others give out none. The homework they give is usually pointless. Honors classes depend on teachers some are like you’re in honors you need lots of homework others are like i don’t believe in homework for honors. Most teachers will stay after to help you if you need help with something. We’re allowed to use our phones, there’s a dress code but it’s not super enforced, foods terrible but the snack shack has some good stuff like the cookies, desks are old and gross, books used to be old but now we all have our own chromebooks so most work is online, there’s lockers but nobody uses them and if you do you usually get weird looks because you’re usually a freshman. I don’t even know where my locker is tbh lol. There’s no time to use them since there’s only like 5 minutes in between classes and most of the time you’re walking all the way across the school. There’s 3 language options: spanish, portuguese, & latin. I’d say latin is the easiest. There’s lots of art and music classes. We only have to take 2 gym classes which is nice if you’re like me and don’t like gym. Theres also like carpentry, tv & radio, auto, drafting, marketing, childcare, etc. Students aren’t terrible but they aren’t great. They’re mean, they judge, and hate you for no reason just like every school. People like to act like there isn’t popularity in school but there is and it’s definitely shown. Spirit week themes this year were trash. Although the pep rally was fun. We were outside so it was freezing but that was just Covid hopefully we’ll be back inside next year. Hoco was decent, most of us thought the DJ was terrible, we were very crowded cause it was a tiny dance floor some people liked it, some didn’t.Student Review4y ago4 Reviews - Palmer River

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe new administration has made a significant improvement in the overall culture and operating structure of the school. Communication from teachers and the administration are consistent and informative. My child has demonstrated that she has learned a lot over the last year and the teachers seem to tailor the teaching style based on where each student is (the best they can). For example, my child has received more challenging curriculum for topics she excels in, while also continuing to focus on those areas where she needs work. Overall, our experience as parents has been great. I’ve learned that there is a big difference between the politics that end up on the news or social media and what’s actually happening at the schools.Parent Review3y ago4 Reviews - Dorothy L Beckwith

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf you care about your child, especially your autistic child, avoid this school like the plague. I went here between 2006 and 2010 and I spent the whole of those four years wishing I was d*ad. Teachers couldn’t have cared less because I wasn’t human to them; none of us were. Don’t be fooled by any “services” they offer; these are the autistic version of conversion therapy. I was harassed for not playing sports, not wearing makeup, and not having a crush, among other things. Unless you want your child to leave this earth before their teenage years, KEEP THEM AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE FEOM THIS TOXIC TROUGH.Other Review1mo ago6 Reviews - Check out schools near 153 Winthrop St.

"They do a parade for memorial day, they also recently did an agricultural event as well. For Halloween the good neighborhoods are around Tiger Lily lane. There are also a lot of new house developments that just got put in which may be good for trick or treating. "

"There is not a leash law so there are a lot of wandering dogs. Leaving you subjected to dogs running up at you and your dog while you are walking . They also do not always clean after their dogs . Dogs are often seen wandering your property . Also found going to the bathroom in your yard."

"We are a rural, Right to Farm community. Rehoboth is quiet enough to enjoy country living, but close enough to all necessities. "

"My wife and I both grew up in RI and never really knew Rehoboth that well at all. It was just an exit we passed on 195. When we moved back to the area this past summer and were finally looking to settle down and buy a house, Rehoboth properties were at the top of our list. Driving through the neighborhoods really proved it to us, especially when people actually waived to us! Beautiful developments, neighborhoods, and houses in a country / rural setting 10 minutes outside Providence. Very easy commute up 44 to Providence or Taunton or take the back roads to 95 if you're heading toward Boston. Would definitely recommend the area. Lots of value for your dollar when compared to anywhere else in the area. All the benefits of living in RI while living in MA (less taxes!)."

"Rehoboth is very peaceful. People are easy going and down to earth. Feels like you are living in a vacation home because it is so beautiful. Great for walking, biking and canoeing/kayaking/boating/fishing. Lakes/ponds; Shad Factory, Reservoir, Bad Luck Pond & Palmer River all with easy access and without the crowds. Very safe, yet 15 min from downtown Providence."
