Description

A unique island opportunity awaits with this custom design canal home. Enjoy the shade trees and natural vegetation this lot has, a feature most island properties don't offer. An attractive feature to this home is the stone wall fire place, which creates the center of entertainment as it towers over the high ceiling living area. Aside the fire place the roof system is supported with steel beams which are cosmetically covered to give an open rafter effect. The kitchen is open and central with the floor plan giving easy access from the screened porch, living area and bedrooms. The rec room on the 3rd level has a wet bar, making a great vacation environment while family and friends gather and relax. Outside you'll find an outdoor shower and storage room to assist with your beach excursions. On the canal is a private dock with a gazebo sitting adjacent in the back yard. Reward yourself twice a day from the bird's nest as you will experience colorful sunrises and sunsets with ocean views.
This property is off market, which means it's not currently listed for sale or rent on Trulia. This may be different from what's available on other websites or public sources.

"Nice place just visiting. Very beautiful we are renting two houses will do it again we love it. Will come back again. Very nice beaches. Everything is very clean and neat"
  • Amanda T.
"Keep your kids busy in activities. Nothing to do as a teen so they make up their own fun....i.e. parties in soy bean fields or on the beach. "
  • Dlove10658
"It’s an old country family beach with beautiful beach and clean, well kept homes. Quite during the winter with a well attended community church. "
  • Brent S.
"I live and work on the Holden Beach barrier island. Have 30 years experience on Holden. I am happy my three boys had the opportunity to experience the island and it's beaches, canals, salt marshes, as well as the ICW and the Shallotte & Lockwood Folly Rivers. Now that the boys have their own lives, it is a really good fit for my wife & I. It is also a place that will continue to draw our boys , and their families, back for regular visits. "
  • Anne A.
"Holden Beach Island is a low density community, family oriented, and very friendly. There are no high rise buildings and there is low traffic. The high density cities of Wilmington, NC, and Myrtle Beach, SC, are 40 minutes driving with airports located in both cities. Summer density grows with the vacation home rentals, but there are never so many people that traffic doesn't move. Even during peak time, there is always room for your blankets on the beack to soak up the sun! Holden Beach is a santuary to birds and turtles. The Intracoastal waterway is an easy boating route to interesting villages such as Calabash, Little River (SC), and Southport. "
