    "Edenton is a small town. It sits on the water which makes for a great setting. The town itself was incorporated in 1712, making it 300 years old this year, and much of that is reflected in the town's architecture. Walking through town is like walking through history. You have a number of structures dating back to the 1700's most of them in use today even as homes, and a large amount of homes that go back to the 1800's and early 1900's. The people here take pride in their town and do what they can to ensure that the character inherent in many of their buildings are well preserved. Many who live here were born and raised in the area, but there are also those, me included, who discovered this town and its charms and made it their home. Our influence has been primarily come in taking older homes in need of TLC and restoring them to their former glory. What you therefore see are wonderful homes, from the modest to the impressive, that line many of the streets in town, making this a wonderful place to live for families, young couples starting out and retirees as well. The amenities here are understandably limited.
