I have lived here almost my entire life. The elementary school has really gone the distance to make sure kids are valued and loved. Now seeing people I went to school with teaching puts a smile on my face because I know the kids are in good hands. We actually live in Peotone now but my kids still loved Manteno schools and always will. Mr. Glenn truly cares for his students and he treats everyone with respect and kindness. This is an amazing, safe place to raise your children.

"It is Dog friendly community but I don’t think there is a dog park. You see a lot of people bring their dogs to the ball field. Lots of walking paths in town."

"They have movie in the park on Friday nites once a month in summer and they have bands n street party’s on Main Street in summer in evening and they have October fest "

"They have movie nights in the summer every other Friday nite. They have farmers market every Thursday. They close Main Street and have bands and street dancing for while town to attend. They have a Octoberfest carnival for family’s. Kids sports in town are big and get a lot of support by the community. There is Manteno lake that u can get membership for and swim and boat and fish and they have a bar n dance are off the lake. "

"i ahve lived right next to manteno my whole life and even worked in this town for a while. a few things i have noticed about manteno is that there are many places for oyu to go to dinner or to just grab a quick bite to eat, the transportationa dn traffic in this town is not bad at all you can get where you need to go within reason and you are not stopped for a while waiting for traffic to move. "

"I have lives here for 8 years now, and I still love it. Great for families. Schools into sports and music. It clean and very quiet. 9500 ppl live here. There are four schools. Really a great area to raise a family."
