"We really don’t do any community events. We don’t even get trick-or-treaters during Halloween because there isn’t much of a sidewalk. The beauty of this neighborhood is you have neighbors when you need them, but otherwise they keep to themselves, mainly."
  • Trulia User
"They’ve made some improvements to this road and the surrounding area. Busy road so I would always say have your child accompanied with an adult. "
  • Sandovalcindy10
"The bus comes right in front of my house easy access to anything you need Just 3 blocks from town one block from Kaiser 4 blocks from the hospital The neighborhood is very friendly"
  • Araya R.
"Very busy highway! Not a good neighborhood for animals unless you have a secure safe fenced yard! We have lived here for two yrs plus, and lost two cats! Otherwise great location to everything!"
  • Madison S.
"There are lots of families, quick walk to the lake where you can walk your dog, fish, or bicycle. There are plenty of parks in the area and a basketball court near by. All the schools are within walking distance. "
  • Schona K.
"It’s not that bad but not great. Have only had one bike stolen in 3.5 years. The neighbors dogs bark a lot in the afternoon. We are right on the bus line and when the bus drives by the foundation of our house moves. Lol "
  • Elva V.
"I grew up on Cowin Ct, then moved to O.B.Hwy between 38th and 40th from elementary through high school. As an adult, I moved back to the area (Cottonwood St) with my husband and two children because I know the area is the best in Longview, plus Mint Valley elementary school is one of the better schools for my soon-to-be Kindergartner. After 10 years of being away and moving back to this area, it's the same as I remember. The neighborhood has kids playing and the neighbors are very friendly."
  • Hoshipw
"Friendly people, stores and restaurants are nearby, beautiful and well maintained parks, tall trees, and lot of area to take daily walks with my partner/dog with plenty of squirrels to keep him excited. "
  • Marciadhp
"Public transport is about 1/4 mile away. A small mall with a pizza parlor, Mexican style eatery and a tea room are nearby."
  • Allison L.
"I am not a parent, so I don’t know. It is a nice place to live but public transportation is virtually nonexistent."
  • Toddward81
"Quiet neighborhood on the outskirts of Longview. Most of the neighborhood are homeowners so they take good care of their properties. It is a good neighborhood to see people walking their dogs, or riding their bikes. The neighborhood has a variety of retirees and young families. "
  • Andrea B.
"We have the farmers market a few blocks away every Tuesday and Saturday morning in the summer months, it's nice to support our locals."
  • Anonymous
"I think dog owners would enjoy quiet morning walks, this neighborhood isn't too active early in the day and is pretty peaceful overall. I don't think dog owners would like that neighbors set off fireworks for about 2 weeks straight in July, and because of how close our houses are, the fireworks feel fairly close for such a populated area. "
  • Trulia User
"Friendly Neighbors, great restaurants, nice landscaped yards, very pet friendly, easy recreational access"
  • Hoshipwr
"Parks, dog parks, scenery, medical help, short drive to ocean and beaches, and other kids to play with. "
  • Abbi
"This is a nice quiet Cul De Sac all homeowners take wonderful care of their homes. We are close to great shopping!"
  • Nichole B.
"some streets are super busy. hard to let kids play outside with the way some people drive. our neighbors are super friendly. "
  • VannaD
"None as far as I know I’ve only lived in Longview for a few years. The lake and go 4th are great............................"
  • Trulia User
"Not the best neighborhood. Kids running around cussing and screaming. People on drugs walking around the neighborhood at all times of the day. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone. "
  • Danielle J.
"new year's. block parties we have huge parties, food. drinks. and everyone goes to the lake for the show. "
  • Cheyanne F.
"Not the greatest place to raise kids. Not many kid friendly activities or family friendly either. Rather depressing if you ask me. "
  • Crazed4gabe
"we have lived here since the end of November 2018 and i love it. but the ants have to die. i hate them so much. they are everywhere. and they bite."
  • Crystalbrown194
"Lexington is awesome, subdivision of Kelso. Tight knit community with special unique restaurants and great bike rides up Westside Hwy"
  • Stephanie G.
"It’s a good area to walk dogs, not too busy of roads or has sidewalks on the busy road. A lot of people walk their dogs around the neighborhood!"
  • Fizquierdo
"Mostly quiet, friendly neighborhood. Neibors keep up with there yards and keep it look clean. Very nice neighborhood."
  • Kyrajeanetta
"Nice and quite, minus the busy road! Love all the trees and neighbors. I do wish there was more parking areas "
  • Siobhan N.
"Quiet and peaceful and well kept lawns. All of us watch out for each other and our kids. People walk their dogs because lake Sacajawea is only two blocks away."
  • Mandii S.
"lived here for 8 years... love it it's a great neighborhood. lots of alley traffic at night but not horrible "
