"Neighborhood is safe but parents supervision and discretion is always recomend. I wouldn't let my children go anywhere without a adult or myself accompanying them. "
  • americandelusion
"This part of Port Reading existed well before the NJ TP was built. Therefore much of the homes are 80+ year old, but are well maintained. Many seniors live here so it is extremely safe, and extremely quiet part of Woodbridge, and many have lived here for most of their lives. Port Reading is close to everything, trains & buses to NYC, only minutes await. 5 minute drive to town center, lot's food venues within 10 minutes, 10 minutes to malls, and 10 minutes to major roadways such as the TP. This little nook of Port reading has its own park which includes Baseball field, basketball parks, playground all within eyesight. Friendly neighbors, great schools, and really close to everything. The only down side may be the fact that on the outskirts about a mile away there are industrial warehouses, occasional highway drones, due to it's proximity to the TP. Also, it's NJ, so expect to pay high taxes( a common complaint for most NJ residents). We've lived in many places, this is one of my favorites, and a magical place for my kids."
