This has been our home for the last 5 years as a couple with our daughter, but with another baby on the way we're moving into the front house on this two-house property and looking to find a small family or great neighbors to move into our home - to live next to, share outdoor space and raise kiddos as playmates (that's the dream anyway!).
The house is a 2 bedroom cottage tucked away with a deck and small garden area of its own. House is light and airy with hardwood floors, washer and dryer and portable dishwasher. There is also a shared driveway-turned-patio area (not pictured here, can send upon request) with a larger outdoor dining area, barbeque, and sandbox. We're in a great neighborhood walking distance to San Pablo Park, Homemade Cafe, and less than a mile to either Berkeley Bowl grocery store!
About us: We're a family of (soon-to-be) four with a sweet, goofy four-4yr-old daughter and a baby boy on the way. We work in environmental organizing and solar energy and have roots / family in the Bay Area and Sacramento. We are hoping to share a property with a single parent or small family that has similar values and is interested in a co-housing / community feel in their living situation. We envision our kids being able to play in the yard and barbecuing together some summer eves. Maybe we're even able to do a bit of babysitting exchange here and there. There are no big obligations here but an invitation for community-minded living to whatever extent feels right for our families. We are also open to folks without kids who like the idea of living near and hanging out with kids.

Details/ lease summary: Families preferred, especially with kids between 3-6 years old but it's no dealbreaker :) Renters pay for water & gas. Owner pays for electricity (which is solar powered!) and garbage fees. No smoking, up to one small pet allowed. COVID vaccination required for adults.
