The Principal has been very receptive and always available to discuss our concerns. I visit the school at different times of the day throughout the year and I see his presence in the lunch room on the yard and in the school as a strong and positive influence on the school , it's students and the teaching staff. The PTA is involved and the school supports may different initiatives on behalf of BAM and the community.

The school has great teachers and traditional education for the most part . My issue with the social aspect is that they don't have a dress code. I understand we are in Berkeley CA and there are nudists but that's different. They allow their girls to wear very tight daisy dukes that show not only the gluteos maximus but the genitals. This has been an ongoing going issue for almost ten years and I really don't understand why. I feel the students should be educated on why it's a bad idea. The students have off campus lunch and harass passer bys and spread what ever infections they have with those genitals shorts. Aside from this real big issue there are some ok teachers there that are trustworthy

Ruth Acty is amazing. Principal Mary is an excellent principal. All the teacher and assistants care so much about the kiddos. I feel so support, my kid feels supported, and we are lucky to be there.

King had been great so far. My kid has been enjoying their time there. The teachers are so responsive and quick when you have a concern. We were concerned with some things with my child and we told one of their teachers about it. The teacher and other staff members were so helpful and so responsive to our kid’s needs that it help them gain so much confidence at school during the year. They made getting my child support so easy and not stressful at all. King is just a great school with amazing teachers.

Our child entered Thousand Oaks in the 3rd grade and had an amazing experience. The teacher's he had for 3rd, 4th, and 5th were some of his best teachers he's had in school and the school culture was amazing.

We feel incredibly fortunate to be part of the Rosa Parks community. The dynamic Science, Dance, Arts, core curriculum, and after school programming are all top-notch. The school has a thriving Science lab and curriculum; my son has taken in after school enrichment: Art; Yoga; Toyology (making toys based on Science concepts); Soccer; Chess; Cooking. The physical layout of the school is charming and welcoming. It's a special place.
