Our autistic child has been bullied at this school since the first day they started there. We have visited the school numerous times with resistance at first but with added pressures they reluctantly helped us. After another incident involving my second child being bullied by older children for defending his special needs brother. The administration sided with the bully and simply brushed the assault that led to my autistic child protecting his little brother from an older student as if it was justified. They punished my autistic child who has stated he wanted to kill himself at school for being the aggressor, even with video that shows otherwise. They keep claiming my kids said something unruly but the video has no audio and they are going on the word of 8-10 year olds. This issue was brought up to the district but like the school they ignored the real issue and deflected to another issue keeping their deficiencies from being mentioned. This is unacceptable and honestly deplorable treatment of a special needs child.

I was a student at Huffines middle school 6th-8th grade and I am proud to be an alumni! The teachers there weren’t just teachers they were carvers paving the way for their students. I would like to offer a special thanks to Dr Willie for helping the families become more involved in student life and to the counselors who are always on top of students mental health and behavior, they’re always there to help! In all honesty the students at huffines werent the most well behaved but it helps to make it more diverse!!

I’m a hispanic student at this school my first time walking in I felt more in place and comfortable than I ever did before. There’s a lot of hispanics,whites,blacks really great school for anybody the teachers are nice really great education!
