"Block parties, trustworthy neighbors, and parents that really care about their children’s well being."
  • John
"Very far. Long to anything except Redondo or San Pedro. Otherwise it’s far from everything and most areas. "
  • Trulia User
"I or my immediate family have never taken public transportation. My commute to work is as beautiful as can be. The journey hugs the coast most of the way into town."
  • Chuck
"Great schools. Great police and quiet place. Close to beach and get sea breeze. Beautiful neighborhood."
  • CadenJTaylor
"Palos Verdes can be compared to a rich countryside with elegance and a calming sea breeze. The creation of curious wildlife are abundant as those who dwell on the land. May the romantic character of Palos Verdes never be cultivated to the point of no return."
  • Capo4
"People who live hear belong to neighborhood watch programs and look out for each other. The Palos Verdes School District is consistently rated above the 90+ percentile. Home owners in PVE take pride in maintaining the beauty and character of their Mediterranean style homes. This coastal city is fortunate to have southern and west facing beaches and rely on these ocean breezes to keep temperatures mild and even."
  • Capo4
" The city has set aside a large proportion of the land for green space by its abundant parks and parkland. We are also fortunate to be bounded by the Pacific Ocean with its tepid and cool climate. Schooling is a top priority, the schools consistently rate in the top 90+ percentile. The homes reflect the pride of ownership by being well attended."
  • Kyle D.
"I live and work here in Palos Verdes Estates and can't say enough about how much I love it here. The neighborhood offers a safe and friendly place to raise a family. The neighborhood offers nice properties with yards, plenty of trees, several walking trails, a neighborhood school with park and one of the best Little League fields you'll find in Southern California."

"Excelent Location with easy access in and out from Palos Verdes Peninsula. Excellent view from living room of downtown LA"
  • Ddanielson
"I use to live here, actually grew up here. After my husband and I were transfered, for work reasons, I realized how wonderful a place P.V. really is. Every window in the house had a ocean view. We could hear the seals on the beach. Watch the whales as they migrated. See the lights on Santa Catalina Island. Watch the foreign ships go by. The cool sea breeze keeps tempertures at bay. Go get a tan in the middle of winter. The only drawback is you're not close to a major freeway. If able to go back, I'd be out the door in a heartbeat. God's little paradise."
  • David
"Great schools in secluded part of LA County makes this the optimal choice for a family lifestyle. Close to beaches and all the stuff you want to do. "
  • Denise N.
"I love the whole Palos Verdes Peninsula! The beauty of the over 80 miles of trails and paths, the weather with the cool ocean breezes and clean air make this area very desirable to me. One would never guess that this spacious and rural area is in Los Angeles. And yet it's only 1/2 hours drive to LAX or the docks for a cruise to the Port of Los Angeles. It's not close to a freeway which could be a disadvantage to someone having to drive into the city for work, but on the other hand it keeps the area safer from crime. There's no quick escape route. There are wonderful programs offered through the city, especially for seniors. I've lived in New York, Chicago (great cities) but I wouldn't want to call anywhere else home other than the beautiful Palos Verdes Peninsula."
