Over the years, I’ve watched many excellent students leave—either transferring to Gifted and Talented programs or other schools.Until 5th grade, my child often complained about not being able to find capable peers to collaborate with on schoolwork. I didn’t send him to a G&T program earlier because I thought elementary school was basic enough that we could support his learning at home. Unfortunately, I was wrong.My child used to be an incredibly curious learner who loved science and math. However, due to the school’s lack of academic focus and absence of like-minded peers, he gradually lost that curiosity and enthusiasm for learning. 5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son constantly gets bullied, he witnesses fights, he’s been physically bullied, he HATES going to school I can’t even get him the same kind of help he had in his other schools. He’s afraid to get yelled at by his teacher, his confidence is low because of the way he gets treated. I shouldn’t have to fight to get him to go to school in the morning some days it literally makes him sick at times. If you want that for your child this is the school to be in. My son who is disabled will be graduating this year. He has thrived and learned so much academically and emotionally. The staff has been hands on always keeping lines of communication open to best support him and give him everything he needs to succeed. He will miss this place even knowing that better things are yet to come. Every High School should model after this one especially for children with disabilities. This is the school to be in if you want caring staff and students who will thrive more and more each year they are here. I thank you for a amazing 3 years and counting.Parent Review7mo ago
