Description

Built in 1823, this Ocean County, New Jersey property in Tuckerton was the former homestead of John D. Thompson, Esquire, a prominent statesman and area businessman, and is now a splendid meticulously restored Victorian rental property. Our private suites are fully furnished, and offer every comfort and convenience.

Each suite has a private bath, dresser, and closet. Rooms are set up for single occupancy. Unfortunately rooms cannot accommodate children or pets. Unlike most rental properties, your rent at JW Suites includes almost everything: cable-TV, WiFi Internet, heat, hot water, air conditioning, electric, garbage disposal, off-street parking, storage, and on-premise laundry facilities, along with the use of beautiful common grounds including a backyard deck and gazebo. Rents start around $1,200 per suite.

JW Suites is not suitable for smokers. There is zero smoking allowed absolutely no smoking products or devices permitted anywhere on any part of the property. There is a zero open-flame policy absolutely no open flame (candles, incense, etc.) permitted.

The property is also unique in that tenants share a kitchen and dinning area. The kitchen is fully appointed and the dinning area includes several separate tables. The dinning area also includes a coffee and tea station. Tenants will have separate cabinet and refrigerator space in the kitchen.

Communal living offers many benefits. Firstly, our suites are priced below traditional furnished apartments creating a more affordable living space. In addition to the economic benefits, communal living provides a sense of community. With only seven suites, the property will consist of a group of individuals who appreciate support of others while enjoying the economic benefits by all-inclusive rent in a beautiful setting in a town with much to offer. (Or you could just stay in your room and hibernate. It's all up to you.)

Tenants also have access to a common living room and separate reading room.

We are located within walking distance of the Tuckerton Seaport Baymen's Museum. Other nearby recreational activities include Long Beach Island beaches, Historic Smithville, Atlantic City, Edwin Forsythe Wildlife Refuge, Pine Barrens, wineries, antique shops, golf, eco-tours, fishing, boating, hiking, biking and kayaking. Enjoy relaxing meals at one of our many fine area restaurants, many within walking distance.
