About this House

Island getaway is the best way to describe this home that was built to last in 1983. It is a stilt-home that has survived every hurricane that has come through here including Charlie with only a couple of cracks in the windows. We are now installing brand new, hurricane resistant windows throughout the house so that will no longer be an issue. The deck and cat walk on the third level has been completely rebuilt with "Duck's Back" manufactured decking boards that roll water off the deck like a duck's back so that the lower level screened in porch off the master bedroom and the small deck off the guest room stay dry. We have built a gutter system that collects the rain water and stores it in two, soon to be three, 2500 gallon rain water reserves. The water is fresher and cleaner than any you will find. We even have an under the sink reverse osmosis system for super clean drinking water. All the rooms including the great room (living/dining/kitchen combo) have lots of windows for refreshing sunlight throughout the day and of course a gorgeous view of the sunrise and sunset. On the second level, both the master and guest rooms have good size closets and a bathroom that has an entrance from the master and the hallway. Downstairs on the first level is another great room with a bath where guests can stay in total privacy. The second half of the downstairs is a storage room with an additional undercover deck for more storage and vehicle parking. The only vehicles that are used on this island are golf carts, 4-wheelers and 4x4 utv's that are best for transit on the sandy paths. The roof top offers breathtaking views of the bay to the east and the entire island including a view of the Gulf of Mexico to the west. This property includes another lot at the canal where the private dock is located. Come see for yourself how amazing this place is. Thank you.
