It also means students have the opportunity to participate in as many different activities as they wish. New technology upgrades have given a large bandwidth, 1:1 personal devices, high-tech classes/activities, and great opportunities to connect with the world via the Internet. School spirit runs throughout the town and both sporting events and artistic performances are well-attended. Both college prep and career training are emphasized. Weston's location is close enough to Kansas City to enjoy all the benefits of urban life, but remains a town where kids ride their bikes around town freely and everyone seems to know everyone else. Faculty and staff recently received a raise that makes the school highly competitive in the KC area and we have been told that the district has an extremely healthy financial outlook.
