Hi my name is Keith Anderson It’s been along time since I’ve been to this school in 29 now but I’m just gonna leave a 5 star anyways

My child spent their middle school on the computer. Coming to the school as a 9th grader, in a mask, was really stressful. Casa has a large student body and staff. It’s clear that the administration and teachers are still reeling from the effects of the pandemic, and yet I feel that they are doing their best and providing the kids with a solid education and lots of opportunities for growth outside the classroom. They have occasional lunchtime concerts, countless clubs, sports and activities, as well as a better than average EL program, including an English Learner parent education program (I know because I am doing Spanish language exchange lessons with a fellow parent) that helps non-English speakers navigate the system. Most reviews of the school are terrible- it’s just a shame that the people who are satisfied with the school don’t take the time to write anything, so I thought I would. I think sometimes parents don’t have time or don’t know how to deal with the many issues that plague teenagers today and they expect the schools, teachers, and administration to handle everything. The only reason I didn’t give five stars is that some of the facilities are a little worn.

This school was very wonderful at the start. Then, disaster struck. My sweet child was at kenilworth for 1.5 years and was very happy until there were many threats of violence. In the spring of 2024, the week before spring break many students threatened to bring guns to school and even one went as far as to set off a firework in the boys restroom toilet. My child was very stressed after this painful experience and I have spent many restless nights calming her anxiety and 100’s of dollars on therapy sessions for her but nothing seems to work. After this traumatic experience the very ill-mannered teachers of this school made it even worse for my sweet angel by piling on more work for her to do. Over all the community and environment of this school was very negative and traumatizing for many students and I STRONGLY suggest to never send your child here.
